VeriVote currently operates within Kenya, scoring candidates under Kenya's Constitution 2010. Our long-term ambition is to extend this model to other democracies globally — adapting the scoring framework to each country's constitutional and legal context.

Our Core Values
VeriVote is guided by seven core values. These values govern how scores are produced, how the platform communicates, and how it treats candidates, voters, and evidence.
Accessibility
VeriVote scores and explanations must be understandable to any Kenyan voter, regardless of education level or technical background. Plain language is a design requirement, not a choice.
Accountability
Every score is traceable to a named document from a named institution. Every methodology decision is published, every score correction is logged publicly, and every challenge is acknowledged in writing.
Empowerment
The platform exists to transfer decision-making power to voters. VeriVote provides evidence; it does not tell voters what to conclude. The goal is informed agency, not directed choice.
Objectivity
Scores are derived from publicly verifiable records only. No opinions, endorsements, anonymous tips, or political judgements are permitted as evidence. The methodology is applied identically to all candidates.
Transparency
The full scoring methodology is published. Every indicator, weight, and safeguard rule is documented and publicly accessible. No score is a black box.
Integrity
VeriVote will not alter a score under political pressure, accept payment for score changes, or suppress an unfavourable score. The integrity of the data is non-negotiable.
Global Perspective
VeriVote's model is designed to be adaptable to other democratic contexts. While the platform currently operates in Kenya, its architecture, values, and methodology are built with global applicability in mind.
